Listen To the Sea – Odisha

This documentary sheds light on one of the country’s greatest calamities, Cyclone Fani. It highlights the preparations of Odisha Govt’s program that led to the gallant effort of rescuing a million people within just 48 hours.

In 2021, we set out to tell a story that often goes unheard— the story of Odisha’s deep, complex, and beautiful relationship with the sea. The result was Listen To the Sea, a soul-stirring documentary that shines a light on the coastal communities of Odisha, their age-old traditions, environmental challenges, and unwavering resilience in the face of an ever-changing climate.

Since its release, the show has garnered over 2 million+ views across Discovery+ and YouTube, drawing praise for its visual poetry, emotional storytelling, and powerful message about coexistence and sustainability.

Through intimate stories and stunning cinematography, we aimed to capture not just landscapes, but lifescapes. We are humbled by the response and thankful to every viewer who took the time to watch, share, and reflect.
